On 2 November 2017, the BISS Institute will organise a state of the art AI technology program focused on AI and (strategic) InterAction. Leading scientists and business experts will share AI developments, AI start-ups take the floor to pitch on their AI innovation and project teams from the Techruption program will demonstrate the first prototypes developed in co-creation projects. You can participate in workshops, master classes, experiments and much more. Host is the Brightlands Smart Services Campus in Heerlen.
Keynote speaker will be Prof. Tuomas Sandholm. Sandholm acquired world fame for developing an AI based poker algorithm (Libratus). Poker has been a challenging problem in AI and game theory for decades. Different from chess and GO, Poker is a game with of imperfect information. The creation of Libratus therefore required a set of entirely new algorithms. The team that Sandholm leads is the current two-time world champion in computer Heads-Up No-Limit Texas Hold’em poker, and Libratus became the first and only AI to beat top humans at that game (in January and April 2017).
The detailled programme will be communicated soon.
