Stefano Bromuri studied Computer Engineering and ICT Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of Bologna (Italy). Stefano studied for a PhD in Computer Science, with focus on logic programming in distributed systems, at the Royal Holloway University of London, from 2006 until 2009. In 2010 he moved to Switzerland to participate in the e-Health group led by Dr Henning Muller and Dr Michael Schumacher. Stefano was the principal investigator of COMMODITY12 and of the COMPASS project from 2011 until 2015, focusing his research on medical informatics and personal health systems to monitor chronic diseases. In 2016 he started working as an Assistant Professor at the Open University of Heerlen where he currently works on business intelligence and data analytics applied to multiple domains, including healthcare.
